It is warm in nature and can help boost yang energy in the body, which is in line with the principle of “nourishing yang in spring and summer” in traditional Chinese medicine. However, it should be cooked in a light way, such as making lamb soup with cooling herbs like white gourd to balance its warmth. Chicken is rich in high – quality protein, which is essential for maintaining the body’s normal physiological functions. It is relatively easy to digest and can help replenish energy lost due to sweating. Duck meat is cool in nature, suitable for the hot summer. It has the effect of nourishing yin and clearing heat, which can help relieve internal heat caused by the hot weather.
