Ruiyuan provide high quality OCC silver litz wire for audio cable

Tianjin Ruiyuan Electric Material Co., Ltd. recently received an order from a customer for enameled silver litz wire. The specifications are 4N OCC 0.09mm*50 strands of enameled silver stranded wire. The customer uses it for audio cable and has great trust in Tianjin Ruiyuan and has placed multiple orders in the past.

As we all know, such products are very expensive because the material is high-purity silver with a purity greater than 99.99%. The fact that the customer is willing to use such high-cost materials indicates that they have very high requirements for the quality of the product. We also know that silver has several advantages over copper when used for enameled wires:

1. Electrical Conductivity: Silver is an excellent conductive material, so enameled silver wires have higher conductivity than enameled copper wires, reducing resistance and energy loss.
2. Corrosion Resistance: Silver has good capability of corrosion resistance, so enameled silver wires are more stable in humid and corrosive environments, extending their lifespan.
3. Thermal Stability: Enameled silver wires have high thermal stability and can maintain good performance in high-temperature environments, making them suitable for high-temperature applications.
4. Oxidation Resistance: Enameled silver wires have good oxidation resistance, allowing them to maintain stable electrical performance over long-term use.

The above includes the industrial properties of silver. Interestingly, silver used in industrial field was only discovery of modern science, while throughout history, silver has been more known for its monetary properties as currency.

In the last dynasty of modern China, the Qing Dynasty, there was a saying: “Three years as a prefectural magistrate at Qing Dynasty, a hundred thousand taels of silver.” This phrase is a derogatory term used to criticize the corruption of Qing officials, and it also reflects the value of silver from another perspective. Why is silver considered to have monetary properties?

1. Scarcity: Gold and silver are rare precious metals with limited supply, making them scarce resources that can support the value of money.
2. Divisibility: Gold and silver can be divided into smaller units, making them convenient for exchange and trade, which makes them ideal for currency circulation.
3. Durability: Gold and silver have high durability, are not easily corroded or damaged, and can preserve value over the long term, making them suitable as a monetary reserve.
4. Acceptability: Gold and silver are widely accepted as currency globally, with high universality and liquidity.
5. Value Retention: Due to their scarcity and stable value, gold and silver can serve as relatively stable value reserves, helping to preserve value and resist the effects of inflation.

Based on these characteristics, gold and silver have been widely used as currency throughout history, becoming representatives of monetary attributes. In modern society, whether the monetary or industrial properties of gold and silver are more important is a matter of personal judgment.
