TPEE is the answer for PFAS replacement

The European Chemicals Agency (“ECHA”) published a comprehensive dossier concerning a ban on around 10,000 per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (“PFAS”). PFAS are used in many industries and present in many consumer goods. The restriction proposal aims to restrict the manufacture, placing on the market and use of substances harmful to human health and the environment, and to limit their associated risks.

In our industry, PFAS is used as outer insulation of LItz wire, the relevant materials are Polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE),ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene(ETFE), specially ETFE is very ideal material to resistant as possible to UV, ozone, oil, acids, bases and waterproof.

As European regulation will ban all the PFAS, such material will become history very soon, all of the Industry practitioners have been looking for reliable alternative materials, fortunately we realized from our materials supplier that TPEE is the right one
TPEE Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer, is high performance, high temperature material that has many features of thermoset rubber and the strength of engineering plastics.

It is a block copolymer containing a hard segment of polyester and a soft segment of polyether. The hard segment offers the processing properties like plastic while the soft segment gives it with the flexibility. It possesses numerous excellent features and is commonly used in electrical appliances, IT, and automotive industries.

The thermal class of the materials  :-100℃~+180℃,hardness range: 26~75D,

The main features of TPEE are

Excellent fatigue resistance
Good resilience
Highest heat resistance
Tough, wear resistant
Good tensile strength
Oil/chemical resistant
High impact resistance
Good mechanical properties

We will try to introduce more materials to satisfy your demand. And also welcome to suggest us more suitable materials.
