Short Description:

Taped Litz Wire, also called mylar litz wire, with a film wrapped outside, provide extra protection for the litz wire. Hence dielectric strength is strengthened. Flexibility and ability to cope with mechanical stress is enhanced as well. In some cases, taped litz wire can be a substitute for triple insulated wire in high frequency transformer. With breakdown voltage reaching up to 5KV, taped litz wire is suitable for application of operating frequency of 10kHz-5MHz and great loss of skin effect and proximity effect.

Application

On account of its good properties of abrasion resistance, thermal stability, inflaming retarding, waterproof and mechanical flexibility, taped litz wire suits for application of medical equipment, communication, sonar, EV pile, high power lighting, automotive OBC, and so on.

Type of tapes

• PET tape, a transparent film, is solderable. Thermal rating within 155C.
• PI tape, a brown color film, also called polyimide tape, is not solderable. Thermal rating above 180C
• Transparent PEN tape is also solderable. Thermal rating above 180C
• Teflon F4, ivory color, thermal class 180C, less flexible than PI film but better properties
• Bondable taping is available for taped litz wire

Delivery time

We have a trustworthy logistics system, composed of Fedex, DHL,TNT,UPS with great discount up to 80% and our own forwarder. For small quantity order, normally it takes around 7-10 days. Delivery time for bulk order is normally around 10 days and for large orders it needs to be negotiated on mutual consensus.
