After 4 years’ waiting, the 2023 Tianjin Maraton was held on 15th Oct with participants from 29 countries and regions. The event included three distances: full marathon, half marathon, and health running (5 kilometers). The event was themed “Tianma You and Me,Jinjin Le Dao “. The event attracted a total of 94,755 participants, with the oldest competitor aged over 90 and the youngest healthy runner aged eight. In total, 23,682 people registered for the full marathon, 44,843 for the half marathon, and 26,230 for the health running.
The event also features a range of activities for participants and spectators to enjoy, including live music, cultural displays and a variety of food and beverages. With challenging yet scenic courses, professional level organisation and friendly atmosphere, the Tianjin Marathon has become one of the most iconic Marathon events in China and is highly regarded as one of the best Marathons in Asia with these main reasons
Route Design: The route design of the Tianjin Marathon cleverly utilizes the urban terrain, posing challenges and allowing participants to witness the unique urban vistas during the competition.
Rich City Scenery: The race route covers multiple famous attractions in Tianjin such as the Haihe River , providing participants with a scenic view of the city during their run
