Short Description:

Taped litz wire comes when on the surface of normal litz wire is wrapped with mylar film or any other film by a certain degree of overlapping. If there are applications requiring high breakdown voltage, it is highly advisable to apply them to your devices. Litz wire wrapped with tape can strengthen ability of the wire to withstand flexible and mechanical stress. When used along with certain enamel, some tapes can achieve thermally bonded.

Features with polyimide film

• Excellent heat resistance. Thermal Class 180C.
• Great mechanical properties. Elasticity modulus of polyimide fiber is up to 500 MPa, only lower than carbon fiber.
• Good chemical stability, moisture resistance and heat resistance. Polyimide is insoluble in most organic solvents and resistant to corrosion and hydrolysis.
• Radiation resistance. Tensile strength of polyimide film maintains at about 86% after radiation of 5×109 rad while some of them can maintain 90% at 1×1010 rad.
• Good dielectric properties with dielectric constant less than 3.5
