Introduction

This customized nylon serving litz wire is engineered for high-frequency transformer applications. The litz wire consists of 300 strands of 38 AWG (0.1 mm) enameled copper wire, carefully twisted together to form a flexible and efficient bundle. Each strand is individually insulated, which minimizes eddy current losses and skin effect at high frequencies. The entire bundle is then wrapped with a durable outer layer of nylon yarn, providing mechanical protection and insulation integrity. Alternatively, polyester yarn is also available upon request.

Features

The silk covered litz wire has a maximum overall diameter of 2.65 mm and a minimum withstand voltage of 1100 V. For detailed electrical and mechanical specifications, please refer to our test report. We support small-batch customization with a minimum order quantity of 20 kg, making it ideal for prototype development or specialized production runs.

This nylon serving litz wire is particularly suitable for transformer windings, especially in switch-mode power supplies, high-frequency inverters, and resonant converters. In such applications, the litz construction significantly reduces AC resistance, improving energy efficiency and reducing heat generation. The nylon serving adds abrasion resistance and electrical isolation between winding layers, while the compact diameter allows for higher packing density within the transformer core window.
